Now who doesn’t like Taco’s?  Every now and then, it’s nice to switch it up a bit and make them a little differently.  This is pretty quick & simple, and utilizes the Pillsbury Pizza Dough in a tasty way as well.

Taco Pizza

What You’ll Need:

Pizza Dough – I used Pillsbury, but you can use whichever you prefer
16 oz. salsa or picante sauce
8 oz of re-fried beans
1 lb ground beef
1 onion diced
2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat over to 350 degrees.  Press pizza dough into a 9×13 baking pan.  I like to bake it for about 10 minutes so that it isn’t to soggy from all the toppings.  While that is in the oven, brown your hamburger, an add all your spices & diced onions.  Once those 2 tasks are completed, it’s time to layer it up!

Layer 1:  pizza dough
Layer 2:  spread re-fried beans across the entire crust
Layer 3:  picante sauce
Layer 4:  ground beef mixture
Layer 5:  cheese

Bake for 1/2 hour or until your cheese is lightly browned.  Now, when you take this out of the oven, get ready to garish it with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, green pepper, crunched up doritos, more salsa, black olives, sour cream….the sky is the limit!  Enjoy!
