Autumn Blessing’s Quilted Tree Skirt October 1, 2016

This is my Fall tree skirt, and I love it!  Yes, I do leave a tree up year round in my foyer, and I decorate it for each holiday or season. This heirloom tree skirt will have a new dated leaf on it each year. I’m a little behind on my leaves, but I will catch up to them soon.

This is the "Snowman Gatherings Tree Skirt".  The fabric for this quilted tree skirt was purchased at Moda.  I absolutely love it!  All that's left to do on this heirloom skirt is the dated embroidery that can be placed on each year to help keep the memories of the year alive everytime you take out your skirt.  🙂  The size of this custom skirt was completed at 30" around at the widest points.  All custom skirts can be made to be the perfect fit for that special place in your home.  Contact me at:

Today's stitching included these cute dated iron on patches for the Quilted Heirloom Tree Skirts I make.  Add a new patch for each year to remember what the Christmas season brought to you that year.  As the patches build on your quilt, so do the memories!

Please Read:  This is a GREAT time of year to start thinking about placing your custom order for Heirloom Holiday Tree Skirts!  Please remember that if you place an order in November for a Christmas Tree Skirt, I may not be able to complete your order on time for you to display at Christmas in the month of December.  Orders are done on a first come, first serve basis.  I prefer to have all tree skirts completed and shipped before December 1st so you can enjoy it in the current year.  These skirts can be dated, and you can order a new yearly patch with embroidery of your chosing for each new year the Heirloom Skirt is used.  These make an EXCELLENT GIFT!!  Contact me for more information at:

Quilted Octagon Christmas Tree Skirt February 21, 2013

Quilted Octagon Christmas Tree Skirt

I'm finally getting around to posting the quilted Christmas Tree Skirt I made.  Better late than never!  I figure, I have a good start on Christmas for next year.  I have 2 more on the cutting table as well.  These are fun to make, and really give your tree an elegant look for the holidays!  This is a great time to place your order for next year!  For more information, contact me at:

This is a GREAT tutorial by Missour Star Quilt Company:

Fabric needed for this 54" octagon tree skirt:

– (81)  – 5" squares
I used:  Christmas Fun by Lynette Anderson for Lecien Fabrics

– 1/2 yard of fabric was used the 1st border around the octagon.  I cut those in 3" strips

– 1 yard of fabric was used for 2nd border around the octagon.  I cut those in 5" strips

– 1/2 yard of fabric was used to make the binding for the skirt.  Make sure to cut on the bias.

I chose to monogram our name, the year the skirt was made, and words we associate with Christmas!
