Easter Hand Towels March 23, 2016

Sewing, embroidery….just about any type of crafting is good medicine for anything that ails me!  With today being such a gorgeous 78 degree day, I decided that something for Spring would gift me a lift.  I wanted to work outside so badly, but the ground is still very spongy.  It will have to wait until it dries out a bit yet.  In the meantime, I sew!  These turned out so sweet, and can you believe it?  There’s no chocolate on them anywhere.  🙂 Tomorrow I will continue giving my daughter her applique lessons.  We should have her pretty little towels ready to show too!  Spring is coming!Easter Towels

Sand Pail Towel ~ Tara May 14, 2015

Every year I make beach towels for my grand children.  It has become quite a tradition.  We live all the way across the country, so we only get those precious hugs & kisses once a year.  Hopefully it will be more soon!!  Anyway, when I give them their towels, I always wrap them up like a burrito, and tell them that every time they wrap themselves in their towels, they are big hugs from Grandma!  The wrapping part is the best.  The giggles that come from these 3 make it impossible not to kiss, tickle & snuggle them at the same time.  Loving my Grandchildren in Louisiana!!  This burrito is our beauty, Tara!

Lovebirds Appliqued Towel Set With Matching Tablecloth January 14, 2015

I was finally able to digitize my “Lovebirds” applique & make a set of towels with a matching table cloth for ME! This has become a pretty rare occurrence lately. It felt like forever to be away from my sewing room since my surgery, but I’m back! It sure feels good. The best part is that I’ve actually got something pretty to put out for Valentine’s Day & Spring! Hmmmm…. what’s next?
