If you haven’t had a good burger lately, here’s one that’s absolutely AMAZING!!

Makes 2 HUGE burgers – Multiply recipe as needed.
-1 lb 80/20 ground beef firmly packed into the shape of a ball
-Your choice of spices.
-4 slices thin sliced bacon – Wrap bacon from bottom to top with 2 slices of bacon per burger.
-I cold can of pop

Fillings: Onions, fresh mushrooms (cook together in olive oil til caramelized).
More Fillings: chopped deli meats like roast beef, more bacon, pick your favorite grated cheeses, ketchup, bbq sauce etc.
Load it up, and top it off with a nice layer of extra cheese.

**You’ll see all the steps to these beauties in the attached photos. Press the can of cold pop into the center & down to the bottom of your burger ball.

Next, form the burger around the base of the can creating a perfect bowl.

Once your bowl is formed, wrap the bacon slices around the outside of the burger. It helps stick everything together & create stability. Any reason to use bacon, right??

Then, gently twist the can back and forth while pulling it up out of your burger bowl. As you can see, you have a wonderful hollow space to fill with all the goodies you like.

We chose to bake ours in the oven tonight. Preheat oven to 300 degrees, and bake these beauties for 1 hour. Add a little time if needed. Serve with a bun, or as a main course. It will fill you to the brim, I promise! These can also be done on the grill, but they need indirect heat, and you need to be enough of a grill master to keep that temperature steady at 300 degrees so as to cook them evenly. Ohhhhhh Lawdy……these are AMAZING!!
