Chocolate Caramel Cake! September 30, 2014

     I’m doing a little catching up on some of the recipes I’ve been playing with. When Fall arrives, I love to cook & bake for my hungry hubby! I try to keep them easy, and just plain YUMMY! 

Chocolate Caramel Cake

Chocolate Caramel Cake
1 box of your favorite chocolate cake mix
24 or more caramels melted in the microwave for 1-2 minutes
1 can chocolate frosting or hot fudge

Bake cake per the directions on the box. I really prefer Duncan Hines, but choose the brand you favor. When the cake is done, poke holes randomly in the top of the cake with the end of a wide wooden spoon. Poor melted caramel in the holes, and let the cake cool for at least an hour. After the cake is cool, warm the chocolate frosting (or hot fudge) in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir & then drizzle over the top of the cake. Add a scoop of ice cream, and you will be smiling when you take that first bite! Enjoy!
