Golden Cherry Cake

What You'll Need:

1 box of yellow cake mix (prepared according to package directions)

1 – 20 oz can cherry pie filling

1 container of prepared frosting (cream cheese is the BEST!)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix your cake mix according to the package directions and pour into a greased & floured 9 x 13 cake pan.  Next, spoon your cherry pie filling evenly across the top of your cake batter.  Bake for approximately 40 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.  When cake is cool, remove the lid and foil from your prepared frosting, and microwave for 30 seconds, and stir well.  Poke holes across the top of the cake, and then flood the top of the cake with the frosting.  Chill for about an hour, and then cut and serve!
